This tool is prefect in every way. I bought this after using a 15lbs factory made one for close to a year. I can drop the weight to around 13lbs to do really refined flow work more nicely than before and am able to increase the weight to move up with the 360s & 10-2s. Weight change is quick, especially when tightening since gravity assists. I had 2 major concerns before purchasing: the lack of knurling in the middle and the fact that the width is less than my 1.6” diameter factory made one. The textured powder coating provides perfect friction and it never slips when I am holding it in the middle and sweating; but it still allows me to slide it when needed. I wanted a fatter than 1.4” handle because of my pre-existing grip issues, but found that this diameter is much better, because I can move the mace in a significantly more refined and less sloppy manner but it still helps with my grip strength. Even just holding this premium mace is a pleasure. I have such difficulty putting it down that the tendons in my forearms started to max out after weeks of continuous use and my wife had to start regulating my exercise and forcing me into taking rest days which consist of staring at the mace longingly. It only loosens if I get it caught on my arm when doing fancy flow work, but all is takes is a slight turn to rectify. I am 5’11 and can do inside and outside circles with a comfortable distance from my feet with two 5lbs weights on it. I would probably only do more with the ad-on kit, but flow work doesn’t require really heavy weights. This awesome mace gives me the versatility to do light flow work and up the weight to go nice and heavy with 360s. The quality is so perfect that I would have immediately known it is American-made without being told so.

This is my second Adex Mace, my first was the original, and Now I have the Wildman version. I also have a Fat Arc, Wildman Arc, Fat club and 2 Wildman Clubs. The quality of all Adex’s products are great. I have used them in training my High School Wrestlers.
I love swinging the different implements every day. With the Wildman clubs, arc and mace I notice my grip is getting a tough workout. Looking at picking up more Adex products before the next wrestling season.
